BetMGM Casino Launches in Pennsylvania
After Pennsylvania opened up its online gambling market in July 2019, there have been a dozen operators setting up shop there. The 13th option was launched just recently, with the BetMGM casino making a grand entrance to the online gaming market in Philadelphia.
The popular casino resort completed the initial three-day test launch earlier in December, going live on December 4. The casino obtained the necessary approval for interactive gaming and sports wagering licenses. To use the sports betting license, they had to partner with a local casino, and BetMGM shook hands with Penn National’s Hollywood casino.
CEO Adam Greenblatt was delighted that BetMGM enters the online gambling market in Pennsylvania, hoping that the platform will be instantly adopted by millions of players. The platform is available on desktop as well as on Android and iOS devices, featuring hundreds of slot titles, blackjack, baccarat, and roulette tables, and just under 10 jackpots.
Promotions Galore
To celebrate the launch in this booming market, BetMGM gives all players $25 in free play as well as a massive deposit bonus up to $1,000. The party is available for all players. Those aren’t all the goodies you can get at BetMGM in Pennsylvania. The casino hosts a slew of great promos to celebrate its arrival to the market and hopefully attract thousands of players.
According to CEO Adam Greenblatt, the casino has been trying to expand its services to other markets for years. Its entry to the Keystone State is one of the biggest moves so far. BetMGM will do anything in its power to bring new players into the fold, and judging by name only, it certainly can.
Of course, BetMGM’s reputation precedes it. The casino features over 140 different games and a slew of bonuses and promotions that will make your stay more enjoyable. Available on desktop as well as Android and iOS devices, players can play the most popular casino games and slots of all time and enter exclusive slot tournaments with plenty of goodies on offer.
Record Revenue
The online gambling market in the USA hit a record of nearly $60 million in October 2020. Those numbers are up around 10 times since October 2019, showing that the booming industry has made leaps and bounds in the past year, even with the coronavirus pandemic.
BetMGM’s sportsbook and poker divisions are coming to Pennsylvania soon too. The sportsbook usually comes before the casino, but in this case, BetMGM needs a bit more time to obtain a license. At the end of November, the Pittsburgh Steelers announced partnership with the casino, but there was no date specified for the launch of the sportsbook.
In terms of poker, Pennsyvania’s sole poker operator is PokerStars. Others are hoping to gain entry to the market, including BetMGM. The company operates the popular PartyPoker in New Jersey and hopes to expand to the Penssylvania market soon.
There have been strong rumors that the PartyPoker brand will arrive to PA. As soon as that happens, we’ll keep you posted. This shows that gambling companies are showing more and more signs of making moves towards the American market. Earlier las month we also mentioned Ezugi expanding to New Jersey.
